Today’s ATVs and dirt bikes require an ATV & dirt bike chain adjuster to retain the rear axle bolt, allowing the tension on the chain to be adjusted to suit the rider. Having a chain that is too tight is almost as bad as having a chain that is too loose. Either can damage your ATV or dirt bike bike and spoil your day.

We offer our customers these adjusting assemblies in both a standard 6 mm thread size version that is suitable for machines in the 50cc to 70cc class, and in a heavy duty large option that is a perfect upgrade for most ATVs and dirt bikes with engines larger than 70cc. If in doubt, please refer to the Specifications below and match them to your old adjuster.

Please note that this heavy duty tension adjuster is just that –heavy duty. With a beefier, burlier, larger 8 mm diameter shank, you might even have to slightly ream out the mounting hole on your bike to accommodate the shaft girth. But if your ATV or dirt bike can use this option you will be happy that you did. It is in a different class entirely than the spindly, wimpy, and undependable feckless OEM units found on many of today’s popular models.
